Blue Harbour Cottage, an old sea captain's home situated on the sunny side of Mevagissey harbour, is just yards above the quayside with spectacular views over the harbour and out to sea. A long established and extremely popular holiday cottage, Blue Harbour has recently been lovingly upgraded by the new owners to provide a stylish comfortable house with light-filled airy rooms whilst retaining its period features and character.

The location on a pedestrian-only pathway is ideal for a stroll round the harbour, observing the fishing boats coming and going or popping to the village shops, restaurants and pubs which are just a minute's walk away. Carry on past the house and you are on the South West Coast Path and quickly up onto the cliffs. It is a fantastic base for the kind of family holiday memories are made of, yet it is also ideal as a romantic hideaway for 2, and would be a warm and welcoming home after a day walking or fishing.

The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall either by car or public transport, and the passenger ferry to Fowey runs from the opposite side of the harbour.

- On the ground floor of the house is the open plan kitchen/lounge/diner with superb harbour views from the large front window. The slate tiled kitchen is fitted with a double electric oven, halogen hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge, and a dining table that seats 6; an additional fridge/freezer is located by the back door. The lounge area has 2 sofas and a couple of antique chairs, a smart tv, dvd player, radio and a log-burning stove. At the rear of the house is a secluded courtyard with a table and chairs, ideal for outdoor dining or a drink. It also has a stone store housing the washing machine and tumble dryer.

The house has a spacious hallway with original stained glass in the inner door and the large window on the landing. On the middle floor of Blue Harbour Cottage are two large bedrooms, both with their original fireplaces; the double is at the front, with stunning harbour views, and the other room overlooks the courtyard and has twin (3ft) beds. Both rooms have plenty of storage. The family bathroom on this floor has a bath with electric shower over, wc, basin and heated towel rail. A door off the landing leads to a 'secret' staircase up to the top floor of the house, consisting of a large double bedroom suite, with a king size bed, en-suite shower room with basin and wc, and unrivalled harbour views.

- A parking permit for one car for Willow car park, located at the entrance to the village, is included. Electric heating, wifi, bedlinen and bathroom towels included.

- 10% discount when occupied by up to 4 people (based on using 2 bedrooms) , apart from period between 25th June & 2nd Sept. Saturday changeover, short stays out of season. No smoking, one well-behaved dog welcome - £20/wk charge.
Access information - Sloping pathway from harbour to The Cliff, 5 steps (and threshold) into the house. The internal stairs to the top floor are slightly steeper and narrower than modern staircases.
